Angle Pinhole
How many hidden pinhole cameras can be in a single room/area?
My cousin is under the suspension (did I spell that right?) that his landlord is taking his mail and entering his apartment. He wants to install a few pinhole cameras within the place at different angles.
He needs to know how many can be active in a single room.
Depends on how many inputs on your recording device. You need a video recorder of some type so you can see what happened while you’re not there.
These days CCTV recorders record digitally to a built in hard drive, base models usually have 4 inputs, and have motion detection so it only records when there is activity in the room.
There are CCTV cards you can plug into your desktop computer so it records onto your hard drive, with motion detection, they’re pretty cheap, but you will also need cameras, power supplies for the cameras, cabling and connectors. Obviously your computer will need to be kept running.
Wiring cameras is not too difficult, but doing it invisibly isn’t easy, you can get cameras with a radio link, but they are more expensive, not as secure and more prone to ‘glitches’. You can get cameras disguised as Intruder Detectors, Smoke Detectors or even as clock radios.
There are cheaper alternatives such as simple door switches that either sound an alarm when opened or silently log the event with a date and time.
